Code of Conduct

Students:

  • Will obey the instructions of all the Science and Engineering Fair staff and judges.

  • Will treat the other participants in the fair with courtesy and respect. No swearing.

  • Will remain at or near their projects in their assigned aisle at all times except during scheduled breaks or during pare-approved restroom visits.

  • May play board or card games and talk quietly with nearby students as long as they do not interfere with the judging process.

  • Will not block the aisle with their personal gear.

  • Will not use cellphones, walkie talkies, two-way radios or other communication devices on the floor of the Science and Engineering Fair.

  • May use personal stereo and game devices as long as they are used with earphones or in a silent mode.

  • Will not use toys such as yo-yos, balls or other toys that are thrown.

  • Will not run or participate in other forms of horseplay on the exhibit floor.

  • Will not steal from other participants in the fair.

  • Will not harass other participants in the fair.

  • Will not leave the Science and Engineering Fair without their, teacher, parents, or sponsors.

Teachers, Chaperones and Parents

Must remain in the designated waiting areas during judging and are ultimately responsible for addressing any bad behavior of their students or children.
Note: Failure to follow these rules may lead to the removal of the student's project from competition.

Project Space

Each student will have a section of a table to display their project. The International Science and Engineering Fair Rules (which we follow) state that the project itself cannot be more than 30" deep, 48" wide and 108" tall.

Foods Restrictions for Fair Day

Students may bring food into the Science Fair; however, food must out of sight when judges are in your area.
